Clove oil’s immune boosting and mould killing properties

Hi low tox legends,

Did you know that Clove oil has the highest levels of antioxidants of all essential oils? Antioxidants are our detoxifiers. They mop up all the free radicals that cause illness and disease. The more antioxidants we consume, the healthier we are.

In addition to being highly antioxidant, Clove oil’s medical properties are vast. It is antiaging, antitumoral, antimicrobial, antifungal, antiviral, analgesic/anasthetic, anticoagulant, anti-inflammatory, stomach protectant (ulcers), antiparasitic (worms), anti convulsant, and bone preserving. Clove is said to have corticosteroid activity so it supports the adrenals and assists them back to full function.

Consequently its uses are vast from numbing all pain (used a lot for toothaches), parasites, infections, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hepatitis, parasites, infections, throat/lung/sinus infections, lice, cataracts, ulcers and acne.

Cloves were reputed to be one of the ingredients used by the robbers in 15th century France to protect themselves against the black plague when robbing valuables from the dead and dying. Consequently, clove oil is the main ingredient in the Young Living’s signature blend Thieves. Thieves oil is so powerful against pathogens and viruses it is the basis of YL’s cleaning range and is so powerful against mould that our 4 step mould protocol revolves around Thieves products (see the 4 step mould protocol in the EO101 guide found in the password protected Member Resources page of my website). (If you don’t know the password email me ASAP).

Check out my shower mould spray recipe in the DIY section of the EO101 guide found in the Member Resources page of my website which includes clove oil.

Clove oil is used in YL’s Green Omega 3.

How to use:

  • Topically - considered a hot oil you must dilute on skin or apply neat on soles of feet

  • Ingestion e.g. add a toothpick swirl to chai tea or you can encapsulate (buy empty capsules from pharmacy).

  • Diffuse for mould in the YL Wanderful waterless diffuser. This is a great way to mould bomb a room.

Fun historical facts:

  • The people on the island of Ternate were free from epidemics until 16th century when Dutch conquerors destroyed the clove trees that flourished on the islands. Many of the islanders died from the epidemics that followed.

  • Healers in China and India have used clove buds since ancient times as part of their treatments.

  • Cloves principal constituent, eugenol, was used in the dental industry for years to numb gums
