Thieves dish soap
Who here doesn’t wear gloves when washing the dishes? I’m guilty!!! This is one reason why I LOVE using the Thieves dishwashing soap because it is free from harsh chemicals, is powerfully effective at cutting through grease while being gentle on your hands, and safe for people and the planet.
Everything that your hands are marinating in when you are washing the dishes ends up in your blood stream (yes I am looking at you fellow non glover wearers) and down the drain into the water ways (if you care even slightly about the environment that we are handing over to the next generation, you should care what ends up down the drain!).
Conventional dishwashing detergents are loaded with toxic and synthetic ingredients – even the greenwashed brands, which make you think that they are all natural and clean, but upon closer inspection of the ingredients list, they look like a chemistry lab. This is why I love YL products – you can trust that they are non-toxic (safe for people, planet, and pets) as well as being powerfully effective and so ultra concentrated that a little goes a looooooong way.
Thieves Dish Soap has 3 main uses for me:
An ultra powerful dishwashing detergent that makes my dishes sparkling clean with a crisp, citrusy aroma. Use the teeeeeeeeeniest amount or dilute it down with water (I prefer to just use a very small amount, but I do add a touch of water to it to get it to come out of the bottle as it's so thick!). It won’t foam (as it doesn’t contain SLS or other foaming agents), but if you're obsessed with things foaming, just add a teaspoon of bicarb. I love to add a few drops of YL peppermint to make it smell delish.
As a stain remover on clothes (just add a smidge on the stain). This is why I keep a second bottle in my laundry. If it gets grease off dishes, it can get stains off clothes.
As a shower cleaner for the inside of my shower when I need something heavy-duty to get rid of the soap scum and the shampoo and conditioner that gets splattered on there. I put a little on a wet sponge, scrub down the inside of the shower screen, then rinse off with hot water. For the outside of the shower screens, I simply use the diluted Thieves Household Cleaner, as they do not get so grubby, and that works perfectly. This is why I have a third bottle of dishsoap in my shower.
