What’s so good about Lemon Myrtle oil and how I use it

Used by the indigenous people of Australia in cooking, lemon myrtle was also widely used as a healing plant. It is cultivated in Northern NSW and Qld.

It is the highest natural source of citral making it very antiseptic, antimicrobial, antifungal, anti inflammatory, and calming to the central nervous system.

It is used for weight loss and respiratory/sinus infection.

Its distinct lemon scent makes it a common ingredient in food, personal care products and cleaning products.

I like to add a drop to:

  • Warm water for a lemon myrtle tea to obtain all of its medical properties (it makes a nice change to YL peppermint tea or YL digize tea)

  • YL shampoo, foaming hand soap and shower gel for an uplifting boost
